Art Bead Scene March Challenge

For first time, I’m participating to the Art Bead Scene March Challenge. Look what’s my motivation…. 🙂

Afonina-Taisia-Still-life-with-Pussy-Willows-per02bw

“Still Life with Pussy Willows” is the name of this beautiful painting, create by Taisia K. Afonina a well renowned Russian Artist.   This is kind of painting that I love and enjoy most, specially for the flowers, the colours and that feeling of a peaceful home. It’s a reminder that spring has arrive with colours, flowers and birds.

And talking about colours, here’s the color pallet for this challenge.

march16absJust perfect! 🙂  Beautiful color combination. Now.. I initially told you that I’m participating for this challenge, right?  ABS, has two categories; jewelry entries and beads.  And I design one art bead, in two different color for this challenge and a bracelet.

Let’s see first the art beads..

Nature and Culture : My Country blog hop

I’m a little bit late!  But thank God I’m Here!

Nan Smith, a Canadian bead blogger is hosting the My Country blog today.  The challenge is to use our country as a inspiration. My lovely country is Puerto Rico and, like all of the countries of the world, have a lot of places, views, etc. to get inspired.

I normally mention that I always get inspired by nature.  My hometown is Aibonito and locally is known as “The City of the Flowers”

For this blog hop I want to show some of photos of flowers and how I get inspired to create enameled components for jewelry.

Spring and Summer Inspiration

Ups, I don’t post anything for a while….sorry for that.   I was a little bit busy, specially on my full time job. You can make plans and sometimes the things doesn’t work. :-(. Such is life!!!

Anyway, I was making some news designs for my Etsy shop. I was tried to made a ballerina dress for the Art Bead Scene April Challenge. But I finished with….

Swimsuit Pendant

A swimsuit pendant !! 🙂 It’s fun, whimsical and adorable!!

I love birds; thats why ArtIncendi logo have a bird design.  The other day I was at my parents house and I saw a “Mariquita Puertorriqueña” this adorable bird is a native bird of Puerto Rico.

Thats why I decided to make this fabulous bird toggle clasp. I don’t use a lot the black color for my handmade clasps/supplies/components.  But, honestly I really love how does little bird looks.

I easily get inspired by nature. I lived surrounded by flowers and birds and I used that inspiration to create my pieces.  Puerto Rico have beautiful beaches too;  and the nearest beach it’s about 1 hour and half from my house.
